Misura di coppia su albero di trasmissione con telemetria

Drive train optimisation by dynamic torque measurement based on advanced sensor telemetry

In order to optimise a vehicle's drive train, it is imperative to measure the dynamic torque on the drive train during every type of manoeuvre. Such measurement is indispensable for tuning the vehicle and optimising drive train efficiency. This in turn increases driving comfort and fatigue life . When developing new vehicles an optimised drive train is a significant competitive advantage.

Misura della temperatura di una valvola motore

The company Manner has developed a further new valve telemetry product, specially designed for the online measurement of dynamic valve temperature profiles on car motors under operating conditions. The distinctive feature of this product is the miniaturised telemetric measurement amplifier with its special form. The complete ring-shaped telemetric measurement amplifier with integrated antenna (outside diameter 20 mm, inside diameter 7 mm, height 4 mm) is mounted directly onto the valve plunger. Due to its low weight of just 2g, the retroaction on the valve train is negligible. The valve train’s spring plate serves as the carrier. The system operates with robust thermocouple elements which effortless withstand the high acceleration forces and are simple to mount. The temperature resistant telemetric measurement amplifier can be deployed at ambient temperatures of up to 160°C and operates on a purely digital basis with 12 bit resolution. The pick up, mounted at a generous distance, scans in the measurement values on a non-contact basis and transmits them via cable to the stationary evaluation unit. The valves may rotate during operation. Characteristic for this product is that continual signal contact is not required. Thanks to the patented, maintenance-free, inductive sensortelemetry transmission technology, the system’s action time is practically unlimited.

La tecnologia FLEX apre nuove possibilità alla metrologia nelle trasmissioni.

Due to the growing demand for weight reduction, transmission units have become increasingly compact. That also means that available space for the installation of measuring devices inside the transmission, for example ,operational stability of individual components, like gears, shafts, or synchronising rings is at a premium. Since, however, structural integrity must not be compromised, no additional installation space for metrology can be provided by, for example, simply using thinner materials. In response to these recent demands, Manner has now developed an innovative, flexible sensor signal amplifier based on flex substrate technology for strain gauge and temperature measurement tasks.

Torsiometro per misure avviamento trattori agricoli

The company Manner has developed a new high-precision torque measuring sensor
for torque and power output monitoring at the power take-off shaft (PTO) in
agricultural vehicles. The sensor is particularly compact and fits directly onto the
PTO. It has the degree of protection IP65 and is completely maintenance-free. The
stator is mounted on the shaft and is secured against rotation by means of a chain.
In addition to measuring torque levels up to 5 kNm, the system also provides highresolution
speed monitoring using 180 pulses per revolution. The digital telemetric
transmission technology guarantees 100 percent interference-free transmission of
the measuring signal. Characteristic of the strain gauge based sensor is its high
accuracy down to 0.1% of the measuring range, its extremely low temperature drift in
the range -35 to +125°C as well as its compact construction (length = 50 mm). The
measuring signal can be monitored either as an analogue signal (e.g. 0 to ±10 Volt)
and/or digitally via USB or CAN Bus.
